Today is Tackle it Tuesday!

Boy do I have a tackle for today! It is a Photo Shoot with a 3 month old and doggy model! Hope all goes well.

I also am going to TACKLE the kitchen it is in desperate need of some attention!

Ryan's First Beach Trip

Isn't he a cutie? This is his first Day at the beach and he was stylin' LOL! I thought for sure we wouldn't last at the beach with him because it was so hot, but he was a trooper and lasted 3 hours. We went to the beach because my family was visiting from Texas and we had to play Tour Guides in Puerto Rico! LOL!


It was the first time my sister met Ryan. She had a baby girl names Sasha 10 days before me and we were meeting her for the first time as well. Here is a picture of her.



My sister and I fell completely in love with each other Kiddos...she even nicknamed Ryan ButterBall. I don't think she knows how much it meant to me that she and her family came to visit since I get homesick so often.

Baby's First Haircut

This past week was a week of lots of firsts for my baby Ryan. We shall begin with the FIRST HAIRCUT!

I really wanted to take him to get a haircut but, my DH asked,"Do 2 month olds get haircuts?"

I said, "They do when the got as much hair as him."

So after a little talk to were on our way to Cartoon Cuts in a nearby town. I must admit I as very nervous for my baby. But HE DID IT! He looked so cute too!

He even got a little certificate! My baby is growing too fast!

How many kisses are enough?

So, how many?? I don't think I there is a number that is enough. I know that as a child gets older they want less kisses because, "MOM it's uncool." You even go from mommy to mom.

So, I am taking full advantage of my little one and smothering him with kisses. I especially love to give him "necky" kisses. What kisses do you like to give you little ones??

My Labor Story

Woot! This is my first blog story! I can't believe that my newborn is now 2 months old, how time flies. I would like to share my labor story since it is still clear as daylight in my memory. Here goes nothing...on April 1st I was labor was induced at 9am because they suspected baby was going to be slightly large as during the last month I popped to the limit.

Once I was admitted and hooked up to the ivy the nurse turned around and asked,"You are not from Puerto Rico are you??"(I currently reside in Puerto Rico) I answered, "No, why?" Well you do you know that here we do not give epidurals, just in case you are expecting one." I must admit at that second I wanted to rip off the ivy, run out the door and hop on a plane to the good ol' US of A. I quickly calmed myself down and told myself, "Okay, you can do it...in fact you have to do it there is no option. HELLO!" That was my first panic of the day. Then I asked, "When can DH come in?" she answered, " After you have dilated to 4 cm." WHAT?! Fast forward 6 hours DH finally came in and where has he been "oh I took a stroll at the mall while I waited." he said. I was thinking here I am in pain and you are SHOPPING! I honestly felt at that moment, that if the medical equipment for the birth was closer to my bed, I would have killed him. Poor DH....wait a minute what am I saying poor me! At around 7:30pm I was dilated a 9cm and doctor told us just one more hour and we'll be done. Um...Ryan(baby) had other plans 1am strolled around and he did not come down.....after all that pain and long hours EMERGENCY C-SECTION! Bummer...I know, I know! He was born at 1:45am April 2nd and weighed in at 8lbs and measured 22". DH likes to joke that Ryan played an April Fools joke on me since he waited till April 2nd to be born. In the end everything I went through was all worth it for this moment.That day was the happiest day of my life until....I saw "myself" in a full length mirror. WHOA...what happened to my body....it just starred back at me saying,"WELCOME TO MOMMYHOOD"!

Welcome to Lil Hiccups! My name is Daisy and I am a 24-year old SAHM to a beautiful baby boy named Ryan. I have created this site because I wanted to share my experiences as a new mommy with others.

Before I had my baby boy I was a mommy to my pup dusty and created his site Dusty's Barks to review dog products. When I gave birth to my son I was inspire to create a site for him as well. I am a very proud first time parent. I always wanted to be a mother and for a long time I feared not being able to have children. I was very lucky to get pregnant and have a wonderful pregnancy and give birth to a very healthy boy that weighed in at 8lbs and measure 22 inches. He has become the center of our world and we are trying to hold on to every second as he is growing so fast.

On this site you are going to find everyday stories about my adventure as a first time mommy. You will also get to know the beautiful island of Puerto Rico as that is where we currently reside.
