Chatty Tuesday

Woot Woot for Chatty Tuesday! Trying to get this blog on a schedule.
Alright first topic UP....TEENS...just typing the word makes my heart hide in my stomach. I was a rough teen and by that I mean I just really gave my mom and dad a run for their money. Now compared to teens now a days (I was a teen 12 years ago..lol) I was an average teen. Teens now a days take no NO FEAR SYNDROME to a whole other level. Its hard to be a teen's parent and those darn hormones don't help. I, thank you Jesus do not have teens YET but I have a few teen nephews and nieces that scare me. Trust me if there was a "never never land" I wold be living there now. Stacy would have not objections as she in her own words, "Will never grow up...EVER!"got it! All I pray for those with teens is to have patience and remember what it was like for you and even though your experience as teenager does not compare or you help you understand your own teen that you might open your heart to try to understand them. Its always important to keep the lines of communication open and know that no matter how open they are they will still say on occasion "you just don't understand" and that's okay because you are trying to.

Next Topic! The Bachelor, Ben Higgins! Seriously, he just told those woman, I LOVE YOU, TOO! I loved Jojo's reaction it was so, wait, what? I mean the more I thought about it I was like well maybe it makes sense because at least if you are not chosen you know he was just as invested in you. But, at the same time you might think he love "her" (the chosen one) more. Overall it sucked for Caila! Poor girl she was so excited and bam she had her heart ripped to pieces. When she got out of the are I could have sworn she was understood that I understood that when she said I am falling in love with you he could not say it back and still chose to have the overnight date with her. I am almost positive that is what she was going to say when she said did you know this week? She sure measured her words though. I think the last 3 have it the toughest and the one that goes home that week you assume they assume things did not go well that "night". Poor Caila! Of course being a part of bachelor nation I read the blogs I read anything I can get my hands on and I have seen spoiler alert, Lauren B. get the final rose. Hmm...we shall she but I feel that is how it will go. BTW, was I the only one that notice Lauren B was walking weird at the rose ceremony? The woman tell-all is next week and I can't wait!

Well off to cook! Thanks for stopping by!

Inspire Your Children to workout

My kids are 4 and 6 years old and they are like sponges. Although I wish I would do everything perfect I don't I get some things wrong. Everyday they see Mama working out and Daddy running they know we do this everyday except on rest days. We try to instill in them that a daily workout routine is just as important and lets say a bath. lol. We have been on this workout journey for about 5 years now and they have been there every step of the way. When Ryan showed an interest in boxing I know that him seeing us workout helped him see that working out is okay and that in order to reach your goals you have to work hard for them.

So how do you inspire your children to workout with you without pushing them or making them.
Simple you just do you and they will follow. They only one I tell he has to workout is Ryan because he is conditioning right now for boxing but before that I did not say to word to join me, they just did. Stacy occasionally will just run up and say I wanna workout let me bring more water and a snack. lol! She is my snack buddy! Yesterday she even brought me a cold banana and yogurt!

Once they see you and how you don't give up they will want to join in on that experience. I workout solely at home so they see it everyday. I remember my Dad would always workout and now he is 67 years old and came to visit a couple of weeks ago and he worked out every other day, it was still inspiring. Lead by example.

Thanks for stopping by I would love to hear some feedback so please leave a comment when you get a chance, Thank you!

The Bachelor Week 4

The Bachelor!!!! Ben H! I love MONDAYS! Three hours all to myself! lol Well sort of. My 6 year old and 4 year old watch sometimes lol. Ryan my 6 year old was off to bed when he saw mommy hooked on the TV that no one could move her which is a rare thing. He started watching with me and our conversation went something like this:
Ryan: "OK mommy, so this guy is dating all these woman and he only gets to pick one?"
Me: "Yes"
Ryan: "Oh that's hard!"
Me: "Yes, maybe one day you'll be on the show!"
Ryan: "No, Thanks! lol"
At this point in the show Ben is on a one on one date with Jojo and the other women watch them kiss.
Ryan: "That's bad...I would be mad! lol"
Me: "Its a part of the show."
Ben and Jojo take off on a helicopter and in comes another date card. On this date card it was a group date so, several women's names were on the card.
Ryan: "So all those woman are going on the date??"
Me: "Yes!"
Ryan: "Oh no mommy how are they going to fit all in that helicopter???"
Me: "lol, they are not going on the helicopter!"
Ryan: "oh thank god!"
Then he turns around and falls sound asleep. lol

Yesterday I learned that Becca annoys me and that I am starting to get attached to some of the ladies.
Looking forward for week 5 next Monday!

Beacuse I am worth it!

As a wife and a mom sometimes you lose yourself in those titles. Being the best mom you can be. Being the best wife you can be. Its so EASY to lose yourself. When I got married I became Juan Carlos wife. When I had Ryan and Stacy I became Ryan and Stacy's mom. You lose your identity as an individual. Did I mind that? Absolutely not. I love being a wife and being a mom it brings so much joy to my life and being a mom is just everything I ever dreamed of.

2016 hmmm... I have been dreading you! Stacy officially starts school and I am from 8-3 going to be just Daisy! Scary! For the past years I have focused solely on my family. I sort of lost myself, who is Daisy? This year I have to get to know me and I would love to take you on that journey.

The adult Daisy is so much different then the teen Daisy and the "20 something" Daisy. She knows what she wants and she knows that hard work is the only way to get it. She is stronger then she has ever been. She wants to achieve things she knows are not easy but loves a challenge. She is determined. She still jumps blindly into things but only with things she believes in her heart are worth the risk. She has values and knows she is worth it and but it I mean in every aspect. That's what I know so far.

So here we go!

I guess I am now NESTING!

I woke up this morning and CLEANED all day...I just kept going and going and GOING!

I started with my closet because every time I have to get ready to go out I turn to hubby and say the same phrase, "I have nothing to wear." LOL! So I emptied my closet today so that next time I really don't have nothing to wear and then a shopping trip would be in order. :)

Next the kitchen.....ughhhh "the kitchen" it took me forever to clean. I literally got fed up with everything and tossed it. Needless to say, going grocery shopping tomorrow!

Then I decorated for Halloween every thing turned out so cute and Ryan was so surprised when he saw it.

So by this time I was sooo worn out and tired, I asked hubby to take out all 5 trash bags and he said, "In a minute." He was cleaning outside all morning. Of course stubborn me.... said I'll do it myself, rolled my eyes and went to get the bags.

Well I got 4 out, then number 5 came up and it was heavy so I dragged it.....BIG MISTAKE....it opened and everything was everywhere. OMG!

Hubby was upstairs and I just gave up sat on the side of the bag and CRIED. I was outside in sun, sitting in the middle of my driveway crying! LOL!.

Hubby, came out and asked, "Are you crazy???" I said, "NO, just pregnant!" LOL! I cleaned up the trash then finished cleaning some more.

Oh man....this nesting got the best of me today and I am sooo tired and worn out. My feet ache and so does my belly. I told hubby I cleaned enough for the WHOLE YEAR (what's left of it) of course my hubby the "cleaning freak" looked at me with his yeah, sure face.

So.....did Ryan help???

Umm...if taking off your diaper and running around the house naked is help then, YES!
If writing on the WHITE wall with an orange crayon is helping then, YES!
LOL! He was a busy boy today.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Laziness......I have the bug!

Before Ryan was born 18 months ago I would decorate my home for all holidays. I would go all out! It had not hit me till today that I have not done any of that lately. How sad is that?

I am a holiday "freak" and the laziness bug has hit me. I must add also since I found out I was pregnant I have been even lazier....I just feel so BLAH. You would think with a toddler around he doesn't let me be lazy...WRONG! This lil boy LOVES to sleep and so mommy joins him. LOL!

But, it is time to say GOODBYE to LAZINESS and get my butt in action!

So here are my goals:

1. Decorate for Halloween!

2. Get pics of Ryan for my blog to share with everyone.

3. Get a belly shot once a month (because it is growing fast!)

4. Get my new website for my boutique up.

5. Get new items up for my boutique.

I think that is a good list for now.

Anyone else have the bug and goals to get rid of it???

By the way, I hope everyone has a great LABOR DAY WEEKEND! :)

Hello.....Again

Wow, life sure has many up and downs. Shortly after I posted the guest post below written by my sister my nephew got really sick. Funny how life is huh?

He was complaining about a stomach pain and everyone INCLUDING the doctor thought it was just a stomach infection he was in the hospital about 4 days when the found out it was more than just that and had an appendicitis which had ruptured and created severe infection in his body.

He had surgery but days after something still wasn't working and his liver has swollen and to be honest his future seemed dark. We were all so worried.

He was then transferred to a childrens hospital in a nearby city by airplane and there he had a recovery we were all praying for.

Luckily he is home now after about 3 1/2 weeks in the hospital but now he can't return to school until January because he went home with a machine still on him.

My sister's life was turned upside down during that time and it was extremely difficult to see her go through that and not to be able to be by her side.

Aside from all of that my little Ryan is now close to 8 months old and growing so fast I can see myself trying to hold back time. Often enough as he is sleeping I hold him tight and cry because he is just everything I wished for in a child. I think about all those woman whom try to conceive and can not and it makes me even more grateful to have him in my life.

He is already standing up and a PROFESSIONAL crawler. He still doesn't say a word other than a recent "ta ta" but me and hubby have our bet placed on ma ma and pa pa. LOL!

It feels great to be back on my blog and lets get this show on the road.

I'm Back

I went MIA because I got so busy with "life"! Ryan got sick with a stomach virus and then since he had to have his diaper changed so many times he got a bad rash! Needless to say I was with him 24/7 and making sure it got cleared which it did. Finally everything is back to order!

I misses all of you!

What now No sLeEp 5 months later? SeRiOuSly?

SeRiOuSly?

My DS Ryan thought that last night was a no sleep party much to my dismay. He kept jumping up and down and wanting to play. Of course through this all DH was SNORING! I was staring at DH asleep and thinking what a MAN, along with other things! LOL!

Ryan has been an absolutely great baby and has slept on his own since 2 months all night. I really didn't go through that "oh baby didn't let me sleep last night" it was great! But, now out of the blue now all he wants to do is sleep with mommy. He even only wants mommy to feed him. My mom said, "just play with him!" I replied, "Are you crazy he's gonna want to do this every night!" What gives?

BTW, did you look at the picture that is his....oops I'm in trouble face LOL!

Mommy = Family Stylist

This weekend was a bit active. We had a baby shower on Saturday and a family activity on Sunday. Some how I was the last one to be ready every day. When I reflected on the weekend, I realized I had added one more occupation to my resume.....STYLIST.

I had never ever thought about it but mommies are family stylist. I have to get everyone's outfit ready,(not that were like 100 were only three but Hey) iron...take baby bath and get him ready.....then make sure hubby has everything and THEN I can get ready which is usually not fair because I get half the time to get ready that everyone else gets. I feel for you mothers of several children(one day I'll be there with you).

Boxer Miguel Cotto and my Cutie!

On Saturday we went shopping my lil guy and I. While we were out as luck would have it we were in the middle of a press conference for Miguel Cotto. In case you don't know who he is. Miguel Cotto is a champion boxer of Puerto Rico. In Puerto Rico boxing is a BIG DEAL! He was there promoting his foundation "El Angel". His foundation raises money to fight against child obesity.

When they asked if we wanted to take a picture with him I said yes! He quickly took Ryan into his arms to take pictures with him. Needless to say as the only baby there he got some extra one on one with the boxer.

Too bad hubby didn't want to go "shopping" that day...hehe! We got rewarded!

So, here is Miguel Cotto and my lil man.

BTW, we are going to the fight in Las Vegas in November. We can't wait first time in Vegas. Any tips for taking a baby to Vegas anyone?

Ughhhh....living in Puerto Rico.

Yep, this definitely is a vent. I've been living here in Puerto Rico for about a year and a half. The number one thing I hate is the light going out and water not running. Last night the light went out since 11pm till 12pm today. Thank heavens we have a generator. Also this morning apart from not having light we had no cable, phone or internet. Well hopefully that won't happen again for a while.

Childhood Dream Fulfilled?

Today as I was surfing the net (no, I did not get wet ;P) I saw a question....Have you fulfilled your childhood dream? Hmmm.....I would have to say I am starting to fulfill it. I always wanted to be a mommy and so far I've been one for 4 mos. now and I love it! It may not me the most glamorous job but those little smiles are worth millions.

Before I had Ryan I always had in the back of my mind that when I was ready to concieve I would have a hard time or it would take sme a while to concieve and I would be devastated. To me baking(:)) my very own child meant the world....I wanted to feel him kick and give him birth. Luckily our little surprise baby came easy and we had no idea he was already stirring inside when we found out we were pregnant. God is funny like that! LOL!

Since I always wanted to be a mommy, I consider it to be a childhood dream come true.
have you fulfilled your childhood dream??

This was me back in Feb.09....never ever ever thought I'd say this but.....I MISS BIENG PREGGERS! LOL!

Hurricane Season...Ughhhh!

Yep, it's that dreaded time of the year again. Although this season began back in June we are now starting to see some action. So here is what yesterday was Tropical Storm Ana and no is Tropical Storm Depression and Soon to be Hurricane Bill is right behind her. This is Ryan's first Hurricane Season and my second. I hate it because some times we stay without water or light....which duh sucks.

Wish me luck and please lots of prayers for a tiny island in the Caribbean(Hurricane Central)!

My Labor Story

Woot! This is my first blog story! I can't believe that my newborn is now 2 months old, how time flies. I would like to share my labor story since it is still clear as daylight in my memory. Here goes nothing...on April 1st I was labor was induced at 9am because they suspected baby was going to be slightly large as during the last month I popped to the limit.

Once I was admitted and hooked up to the ivy the nurse turned around and asked,"You are not from Puerto Rico are you??"(I currently reside in Puerto Rico) I answered, "No, why?" Well you do you know that here we do not give epidurals, just in case you are expecting one." I must admit at that second I wanted to rip off the ivy, run out the door and hop on a plane to the good ol' US of A. I quickly calmed myself down and told myself, "Okay, you can do it...in fact you have to do it there is no option. HELLO!" That was my first panic of the day. Then I asked, "When can DH come in?" she answered, " After you have dilated to 4 cm." WHAT?! Fast forward 6 hours DH finally came in and where has he been "oh I took a stroll at the mall while I waited." he said. I was thinking here I am in pain and you are SHOPPING! I honestly felt at that moment, that if the medical equipment for the birth was closer to my bed, I would have killed him. Poor DH....wait a minute what am I saying poor me! At around 7:30pm I was dilated a 9cm and doctor told us just one more hour and we'll be done. Um...Ryan(baby) had other plans 1am strolled around and he did not come down.....after all that pain and long hours EMERGENCY C-SECTION! Bummer...I know, I know! He was born at 1:45am April 2nd and weighed in at 8lbs and measured 22". DH likes to joke that Ryan played an April Fools joke on me since he waited till April 2nd to be born. In the end everything I went through was all worth it for this moment. That day was the happiest day of my life until....I saw "myself" in a full length mirror. WHOA...what happened to my body....it just starred back at me saying,"WELCOME TO MOMMYHOOD"!

I look forward to sharing my adventures as a new mommy with you!
